we had some holes in our walls too, all of it was fixed at the PM's quality assurance inspection before drywall could begin. I didn't realize they had so many inspections but the house has to pass like 50 tests. I'm sure he will catch it but it's always nice to let him know just in case!
We hired our own inspector before dry-wall and he found a broken truss and other framing issues. A few days before our PM told us the house has passed framing inspection so we were surprised they didn't find the broken truss. Best to hire your own inspector.
All sorts of interesting things happen during the build. I would notice them and let my PM know but that was because I landed at the site before he did ! Having an inspector is not a bad idea
